Benedict House

Benedict Residence

2017

Benedict Residence is sitting on the ridge of Mulholland drive and looking over the valley of Beverly Hills. Inspired by the concept of "yacht",  I have made the metal roof pitched to form a curve with the sidewall to wrap the house with an accent shape in the meanwhile to create balconies for the master suite and the living room. Maximized openings to provide maximized views and natural light. The residence looks like it is lifted by the waves of hills and is ready to sail in the gorgeous mountain views.

Tokyo Housing Complex

Shibuya Housing Complex

2013

Shibuya Housing Complex is a Building Complex which has a commercial podium at the bottom and condos at above. The main form of the shape of a center-hollowed mountain has a program of residential. Although it is huge, it could offer sufficient sunlight and fresh air circulation to the residents by leaving space inside. Almost every unit could share gorgeous views of the city and have sufficient natural light. There are plenty of commercial units at the bottom. It provides young people with not only an affordable living but also a life of diversity. Besides entertainment, the complex also provides an open workspace for young people to get together and create new ideas. Residents would have fun here.

Madrid Forest

Madrid Forest

2011

The Madrid Forest Tower is a skyscraper located in Madrid, Spain. The proposed project aims to encourage the reflection on the so-called “hybrid” or “mixed-use” buildings adapted to the skyscraper, in an attempt to concentrate in a single building. The goal is to create a container with different spaces and activities. With the crisis suffered by the concept of the office building as a juxtaposition of homogeneous floor plans, and with the aim to economically optimize the land use, this project appears a new type of building in which spaces and programs accumulate with no homogeneity. It is a new space mainly characterized by a diverse functional density, the discontinuity of the section, and the uniqueness of their presence. This type of space does not seek the independence of the typologies, but for a stronger interaction between public and private areas, as well as a stronger relationship with the road infrastructure.
